M&R Episode 151: Gil talks about growing up on a kibbutz in Israel and finding an artistic community in the jungle of Vietnam.
In Episode 151 I spoke with expat Gil. Gil grew up on a kibbutz in Israel. Life for Gil was very different as his community operated without the use of money and they shared everything, even the responsibility of raising all the children. Now Gil finds himself living in Hanoi Vietnam working within a new type of community. A community of artists whose leader was a censor police officer during the cold war. Dao Anh Khanh would regulate what artist and authors could say and display in communist Vietnam. Now Khanh is one of the biggest performance artists in Vietnam and Gil is partnering with Dao Anh Khanh to help facilitate transformative retreats in the jungle with Khanh. Enjoy!
